This is the third installment of my attempt to write a song for every week of 2010.
I had one verse of this back a few years ago. This weekend I figured out the music and wrote the rest. It was fun and the type of stuff I use to play with quite a bit.
Beg, Steal, or Borrow
(c) 2010 T.C. Elliott
You said I left you all alone
To live a life of tears and sorrow
You said my love was always gone
And you had to beg steal or borrow
You said I didn't love you yesterday
I told you to wait until tomorrow
I'll give you my love in my own way
You won't have to beg steal or borrow
You said the good times would last forever
Now all the good times just fade away
You said I was never there
That my love for you was hollow
It was more than you could bare
To have to beg steal or borrow
You said I didn't love you yesterday
I told you to wait until tomorrow
I'll give you my love in my own way
You won't have to beg steal or borrow
If I told you that I loved you
Would you still walk away?
