Desert Rain

Billy Sea is a mean and ornery fellow. He talked me into attempting to write one song every week for the year in 2010.

This is the second song of the year. I have spent a bit more time recording this one than last week and hope it comes through in the demo. Please let me know what you think by commenting below.

Desert Rain
(c) 2010 T.C. Elliott

Lyric:

I can feel the raindrops falling
Slicing through the hot, dry air
I can feel the raindrops falling down

I can feel the cool wind blowing
Cool relief from the desert heat
I can feel the cool wind blowing in

I stand and let the raindrops pelt me
Wash away the stains on my soul
Mother earth revives my spirit
Restores me with Desert Rain

I can feel the sand beneath me
As it scours the pain away
I can feel the sand against my skin

I can feel your eyes upon me
Staring through both space and time
I can feel your eyes upon me now

I stand and let the raindrops pelt me
Wash away the stains on my soul
Mother earth revives my spirit
Restores me with Desert Rain

I stand and let the raindrops pelt me
Wash away the stains on my soul
Mother earth revives my spirit
Restores me with Desert Rain
Restores me with Desert Rain

  1. I've been sick for just over a week now with something going around and your comments make me laugh (which started me coughing my head off...hope you are happy) ;)

Love everything about this song. The lyrics and music are awesome, the backing harmonies really nice. Even if you only make the song a week for 2 weeks, this song made it all worthwhile :) (But don't stop now, only 50 more weeks to go) lol
